Natasha and Charlett first met while working together at the Ridgeview Adolescent Unit in 2019. They quickly realized the strong impact their work had and the importance of community involvement in bridging the gap between mental health services and the people who need them the most.
As fate would have it, the COVID-19 pandemic brought them back together, and they decided to join forces to serve a population in need of understanding and support. Building Blocks Behavioral was born out of their shared passion for empowering individuals with the tools and awareness needed for success in various environments.
Natasha and Charlett bring valuable perspectives to the table, emphasizing the importance of connecting with minority populations and breaking down barriers to mental health support. Their combined expertise enables them to create personalized, targeted, and integrative support services for clients from all walks of life.

NATASHA MERCHANT, LCSW & CERTIFIED PARENTING COACH FOR TRIPLE P SERVICES
CEO/ CO-FOUNDER
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a rich professional background. I’ve worked in behavioral health, homeless shelters, the state prison system, and psychiatric hospital services over the past 10 years. I’m a proud graduate of Texas State University and am certified in the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), and skilled in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and motivational interviewing.
I was born in Queens, New York, and raised in Texas. Growing up, I didn’t have access to mental health professionals or groups to help me process my emotions and thoughts. This inspired me to create Building Blocks Behavioral, bridging the gap in today’s society by raising awareness and equipping individuals and organizations with the skills they need for a better future.
In my free time, I love exploring new hobbies, hanging out with family and friends, and continuously learning to further enhance my therapeutic practice. As a therapist, I bring an energetic and knowledgeable approach to my work, striving to elevate my skills by engaging with the community.
Let’s join hands to build a strong foundation for emotional and mental health growth!

CHARLETT HARRIS, THERAPIST, LPC
CEO/ CO-FOUNDER
I started my career in the corporate world, coaching and developing talent while assembling powerful teams. With over 15 years of experience and extensive training in multiple leadership development models, I realized the importance of a stable, healthy mindset for success. This understanding led me to obtain a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Mercer University.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia, I’ve had opportunities to work with various age groups, communities, and ethnicities in settings like mental health hospitals, schools, and community-based organizations. I’m passionate about helping people reach their mental and emotional health goals, and I believe we can support one another in battling mental health issues.
At Building Blocks Behavioral, I’m dedicated to fostering resilience, self-awareness, and positive growth, enabling clients to navigate life’s challenges and build strong connections. My mission is to remove the stigma surrounding mental health by promoting awareness, focusing on signs, symptoms, and treatment. It’s time we stop standing around watching and wondering what’s wrong with someone and become informed enough to help those in need!
